Macon-Bibb Commissioner sheds light on budget outcome

MACON,Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb board of commissioners are serious when it comes to public funding and distributing that funding evenly.

District 3 commissioner Elaine Lucas was able to shed some insight about what exactly happened in the courtroom Thursday that determined Macon’s citizens welfare.

Lucas says in about a week they were able to unanimously approve the first budget of the Macon-Bibb consolidated government.

The discussion was centered around massive cuts for agencies in middle Georgia especially the Medical Center, but she forewarns for those agencies to start seeking financial assistance elsewhere in the near future.
