Macon-Bibb announces Memorial Day closures, trash pickup delays

Emergency services will remain operational during the holiday.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb County government offices, recreation centers and the court system will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day, according to county officials.

Officials said Convenience Center No. 1, located at 1010 11th St., will also be closed Monday and will reopen Tuesday. All other convenience centers will continue operating on their normal schedules throughout the week.

Trash and yard waste collection services will be delayed by one day during the holiday week. Pickups will run Tuesday through Saturday, with Monday routes collected Tuesday and Friday routes collected Saturday.
