Macon-Bibb animal welfare quarantined due to parvo
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb County Animal Welfare is under a quarantine after a puppy was diagnosed with parvo.
According to Macon-Bibb County’s website, the dog was found dead Thursday morning. The veterinarian serving the animal shelter diagnosed it with parvo.
The quarantine will remain in place until after a visit by the Department of Agriculture.
No animals will be admitted or released. Officials will also review records of animals who may have come into contact with the dog and notify owners to monitor their animals.
