Macon-Bibb Animal Welfare Center partially reopens

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb Animal Welfare Center is partially reopened.

According to the Macon-Bibb government website, the facility closed last week after a veterinarian determined a puppy died of parvo. Two other dogs also tested positive for the disease.

Officials will keep one room and a few dogs quarantined until January 19th.

The center is taking in and adopting out animals during this time.
