MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Bacon will host its inaugural Bacon Fest this weekend, offering a full day of food, music and family-friendly fun.
The event is set for Saturday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Luther Williams Field. Admission is free for all attendees.
Brandon Raphael, managing partner and president of the Macon Bacon, said the festival will feature a bacon cook-off judged by celebrity judges, more than 60 vendors, food trucks, bounce houses and live music.
“You always see chili cook-offs, but why not a bacon cook-off?” Raphael said. “The goal was to have a little something for everybody, as we gear up for the start of our season on Saturday, May 31.”
