Macon Bacon, First Quality partner to donate diapers to local non-profit

Macon Bacon President, Brandon Raphael, says the team decided to partner with First Quality and donate diapers to Mother's Nest.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Bacon and First Quality have partnered together to help Mother’s Nest.

Mother’s Nest is a local non-profit that assists young mothers to prevent maternal mortality and severe morbidity among black mothers in Macon and Middle Georgia. Mother’s Nest aims to help low-income, single families that need assistance.

Macon Bacon President, Brandon Raphael, says the team decided to partner with First Quality and donate diapers to Mother’s Nest. Every time an opposing player struck out during a game, First Quality donated a case of diapers.

“Our fans love the fact that when they come to a game, not only are they going to enjoy some great baseball, but they will also be part of supporting babies across Middle Georgia,” says Raphael. “We’re excited to see First Quality growing in Macon and look forward to continuing to make an impact together.”

Business Unit Leader of Infant Care at First Quality, Tyler Dugar, says First Quality donated 240 cases of diapers to Mother’s Nest. First Quality has also agreed to make an additional donation of over 246,000 diapers to Mother’s Nest.
