Long Serving Legislator Birdsong Dies at 83

A former Middle Georgia lawmaker died over the weekend. 83-year old Kenneth Birdsong passed away after a brief illness.

He was one of Georgia’s longest serving state legislators, representing Twiggs and Wilkinson and parts of Bibb and Jones counties.  Birdsong retied in 2004.

He will be buried at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
