Locals Ask Questions During Perry Luncheon
The Perry Area Chamber of Commerce hosted it’s 6th Annual State of the Community Luncheon on Monday.
The open forum was held at the newly named James Worrall Community Center at Rozar Park and is held to help residents stay informed about the current state of their community. It also gives locals a chance to ask questions of their own. Perry Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Kenna Scragg said, “We haven’t been briefed on what the questions are going to be, nor have we let anybody know what those are. But it’s all going to pertain to where we are community-wise today and where everybody sees our community heading in the future.”
The event is a project of the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Perry Chamber. The panel consisted of Houston County Commissioners Chairman Ned Sanders, City of Perry Mayor James Faircloth, the Houston County Board of Education Superintendent Dr. Robin Hines and the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter Executive Director Randy Moore.
According to Chairman Scragg there were more than a hundred community members in attendance.
