Local Students Learn New Cultures
Students at Alexander II Magnet School are taking a trip around the world. The school is celebrating “International Week.” Students from Mercer University have been visiting classrooms this week to teach kids about various cultures. Thursday was “International Dress Up Day.”
“They come from all over. We’ve had people from India, Nigeria, Germany, Russia you name it. We’ve had speakers all week long from different countries to go into the classroom,” said Lynda Singleton, Alexander II Counselor.
To wrap up the week, students will be awarded for identifying flags from around the world. ?
