Local Red Cross Volunteers Head East for Hurricane Sandy

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The American Red Cross in Middle Georgia deployed volunteers to Virginia as a part of Hurricane Sandy preparations.

Two volunteers and an Emergency Response Vehicle were sent to Atlanta. From there; the group will travel to Virginia where the truck will be used to carry supplies and serve as food truck on arrival. The last time an ERV from Macon was used in relief efforts was during Hurricane Isaac.
