Local leaders host community forum on gun violence
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb County leaders plan to host a public forum on youth and gun violence in the community.
A panel of leaders will address the issues facing the area, and H.B. 60.
Macon-Bibb County Commissioner Al Tillman and Pam Lightsey with the U.S. Attorney’s Office will host the event.
All age groups are encouraged to participate in the forum.
“We’re hoping that folks will see an alternative to gun violence, and violence in general. So, as our community moves forward, they need to realize that you can’t
bring a gun into our facilities,” says Tillman.
The forum is tomorrow, Thursday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Macon-Bibb County Government Center on 700 Poplar Street.
