Local hospital to take on new strategy
The Hospital Authority of Monroe County Georgia announced it’s recent partnership with CHC Consulting-a managing department for the Community Hospital Corporation of Plano, Texas.
Under the partnership, leaders will start up a new course to help prepare the hospital for changes they face in healthcare, and create a strategy for preserving healthcare locally.
Chair of the Hospital Authority, Tony Ussery, says “Our mission and values are closely aligned with CHC – to provide compassionate community healthcare that meets the public’s expectations.”
According to a new release, the first step the hospital plans to take is a comprehensive operational assessment. After the assessment, CHC will develop an “action plan of recommendations” for the hospital.
C.E.O. of Monroe County Hospital, Kay Floyd, says the facility is proactive in keeping the hospital viable.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to ensure that access to quality healthcare remains the property for our hospital and medical community.”
