Local Gun Victim’s Family Advocates for Change
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It was an emotional plea during President Obama’s State of the Union address as he called to reduce gun violence. One Macon family, torn apart by a bullet, agrees.
Shar’bora Daniels was shot and killed when a stray bullet ripped through her family’s home in June.
Since her death, the Daniels have been up in arms rallying to put an end to senseless crimes.
“It’s a reoccurring thing, people get shot everyday, not every other day, it’s everyday” said Alfred Daniels, Shar’bora’s father.
While he doesn’t have all the answers to the gun control debate, Alfred wants Congress to step up and make a change.
“They can try but it’s not gone happen till every gun is just completely gone,” Daniels said.
For his family, not a day goes by they don’t think about Shar’bora and the bullet that shattered their lives.
