Local florist filling last minute Mother’s Day orders for mothers across Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Florists like, Lawrence Mayer Florist, have a team of workers putting together last minute flower arrangements for Mother’s Day across Middle Georgia.

“For the holiday, we generally do 300 or 400 orders for the several day period of Mother’s Day,” says Mayer.

Mayer says, over the years, he’s noticed anyone who places an order for their wife or mother gets an sense of satisfaction.

“You know, they’re just happy to get something for mom, and kind of get it over with and to know that they have, mom taken care of, ” says Mayer.

In Warner Robins, a member of, End-Time Harvest Christian Center, Julia Womack, is placing an order for the eight mothers of the church for the special day.

Womack goes to say, “to see the women, their face light up and some of the women, you know, it just brings joy because they have lost either their parents or and some of them have lost their children and so just to make a difference, just a flower, something as simple that goes a longer way.”

Womack, a mother and grandmother herself, says getting flowers can uplift your spirit, “I love it, I love and I especially love it from my husband when they give it and it just makes your house smell good.”
