Local Businesses Boom with the Help of Social Networking
Local business owners have discovered the power of the page. Several are helping their customers connect with and cash in on great deals by using Facebook.
Signature Salon and Spa owner Nicole Mitchell says that Facebook is the reason she has customers from all over Middle Georgia booking appointments at her salon. Natasha Phillips, owner of Fountain of Juice says the only reason her customers know about daily specials is because of her Facebook advertisements.
“We have comments all the time and we’re constantly back and forth with our customers… messaging them and letting them know what we have that’s available for them,” says Julie Evans, owner of Karats and Keepsakes Boutique in Macon.
Advertising and connecting with customers is not the only reason these local entrepreneurs use social networking. They also promote other local shop owners by tagging them on their pages.
