Local book drive to benefit Roberts Academy at Mercer University

According to Roberts Academy, an elementary school library needs 15-20 books per learner.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Roberts Academy at Mercer University is hosting a local book drive until August 1.

Roberts Academy is a transitional school designed especially for students with dyslexia. The school provides students with foundational skills needed to succeed in a traditional school setting.

The academy is for students in grades 2 through 5. The curriculum uses the Otron-Gillingham approach, which helps students with dyslexia.

According to Roberts Academy, an elementary school library needs 15-20 books per learner.

The Books for Bears book drive ends August 1. New or gently used children’s books in boxes can be dropped off  at 4 locations.
