Local author makes appearance at The Coffee Cup in Perry

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A local man turned author was at The Coffee Cup in Perry today for a meet and greet to celebrate the publishing of his new book.

Tyler Bryant, also known as T.G. Bryant, was born and raised in Warner Robins and showed off his first novel called The Canvas Adventures, a fantasy story involving a 12-year-old boy named Gabriel who stumbles upon a magical oil painting.

“It’s an inspiring tale for anyone who needs to find their self worth and purpose in life,” Bryant said.

Bryant decided to write the book after he found himself unemployed and with a lot of time on his hands, “I said to myself if I’m not going to be able to do anything with this time off… let’s do one of those dreams, let’s have one of those life goals to accomplish now.”

Bryant went on to say he was originally inspired to begin writing by his second grade teacher when he was growing up, and now believes it’s ingrained in his soul.

“Everyone’s destined for great things,” Bryant continued. “You need to just wake up one day and say I’m going to go after something.”

The Canvas Adventures is the first book in a series of three, and was published by Brentwood Publishing based in Columbus, Georgia. If you’d like to purchase the book, you can visit Bryant’s website at www.tgbryant.com.
