Loaves and Fishes Ministry held annual Breast Cancer Walk-a-thon

The event honored those affected by breast cancer, including Board Member, Mrs. Edwina Beall and Client Friends like Mrs. Brenda Moore and Mr. Freddie Pearson.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – You might have seen a splash of pink in downtown Macon Tuesday morning.

Loaves and Fishes Ministry held its yearly Breast Cancer Walk-a-Thon as it celebrated its 57th anniversary.

Board President Chloe Napier says the event honored those affected by breast cancer, including Board Member, Mrs. Edwina Beall and client friends like Mrs. Brenda Moore and Mr. Freddie Pearson.

According to Napier, Beall won her fight with cancer but has since passed on.

Napier tells 41NBC Beall left a lasting footprint at the ministry.

Thursday, they’re hosting a lunch to honor all of their sponsors and donors. It starts at 2 p.m. at 651 MLK Jr. Blvd. in Macon.
