Laurens County Sheriff’s Office reports there are trees down “all over the county.” “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay off the roadways,” a Facebook post stated.

Poweroutage.us reports more than 528,000 Georgia customers are without power. More than 3,200 Johnson County customers are without power. More than 3,000 Laurens County customers are without power. Nearly 2,800 Telfair County customers are without power. Nearly 2,300 Washington County customers are without power. More than 1,800 Wilcox County customers are without power.

Status update
Warner Robins Mayor gives an update: City officials in Warner Robins are actively preparing for the impending impact of Hurricane Helene, which is expected to deliver wind speeds between 55 and 74 mph when it hits. As of now, the city is experiencing 30 mph wind gusts, and the storm’s path has shifted, placing Warner Robins directly in its eastern eye wall. In a live update, Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick confirmed that there have been no reported cases of flooding yet, but a power outage has occurred at the 247 and Watson intersection. Crews are on standby to manage further developments as they arise, with all departments contributing live updates to a centralized system. As the storm progresses, officials are urging residents to remain vigilant, keep pets and children close, and ensure they are in safe areas.

Dodge County Fire Department reports the following roads are closed due to severe water damage: Isham Springs Rd between Rocky Springs Rd and Free Gift Church Rd, Benevolence Road, Louis Harrel Rd, Friendship Baptist Rd from Fair Haven Rd to Hwy 117, Yancey Rd, Milan Eastman Rd from Hwy 166 to Sweet Home Church Rd
