LIKE THE LOOK: Colorize Winter (Ladies)
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Last time I gave the guys tips on how to add color to their winter wardrobe, this week it’s all about the ladies!
For some reason a lot of people think that when it starts to get cold outside color is no longer an option. It’s not entirely their fault though, stores tend to offer more neutral colors for fall and winter and offer bright colors in spring and summer.
In actuality the season should only dictate fabrics -heavier/thicker ones for cold weather, lighter/thinner ones for warm weather, not the color of the fabric.
Whether you’re nervous about adding color to your winter wardrobe or in need of some ideas, I provided two looks to help you out! The first outfit I have a simple outfit of a plain white long sleeve shirt and blue jeggings. I added a pop of color with a bright patterned scarf and purple pumps. For the second ouftit I chose to color block (mixing solid colored pieces) with a purple tank top under a denim shirt, lime green skinnys and nude pumps. I’m always nervous to colorblock because you dont want to mix too many color and end up looking like a box of crayons, but the demin shirt and nude pumps even it out.
I’m loving both of these looks! What are some of your ideas to add color to your winter wardrobe? I’d love to see! Tag me in your pics or tweet me @BlondiesLipstk.
