Lightening Responsible for Monroe Co. Fire

The Monroe County Emergency Management Agency says a lightening strike caused a fire that destroyed an abandoned barn.

The fire started around 9pm at 3480 Highway 41 North, near the Monroe Lamar County lines. It took firefighters around 30 minutes to contain.

No animals or people were injured during the fire.
