LED Christmas Lights Help Save Money During Holiday Season

Christmas is less than a month away and red and green lights are going up, which can make it an expensive time of year.

In this week’s Going Green, Saving Green 41 NBC shows you the power of using LED lights to turn your home into a winter wonderland.

LED lights last decades and can burn for around 25,000 hours.

Art Wright, Assistant Manager at Home Depot, says the LED lights are becoming more popular. “You can get them on the pre-light Christmas trees. You can get them on yard decorations. You can get them for bush decorations. You can get them on wreaths.”

According to Wright, LED lights save about 80% of energy costs.
