LEC Plans Approved by Warner Robins Redevelopment Agency

The plans are in, and a new Law Enforcement Complex is coming soon to the city of Warner Robins.

Earlier today, the Redevelopment Agency took a look at the $6.9 million dollar complex that was designed by JMA Architeture. They approved the floor and site plans, and the design for the long-awaited addition to the city.

The plans will still go to council for final approval, but Executive Director of the RDA, Gary Lee, says he is confident demolition will begin sometime this fall.

“We wanted to make sure that the building was functional and cost effective for what we have in our budget.”

The new LEC is an old agenda item for the city. Lee says they have been in talks about this plan since before he came on board in 2007.

He says once construction begins it will only take about one year to complete.
