Layaway Santa works to raise $6,000 this year

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s the season of giving. If you want to do something nice for a child in Middle Georgia, you can donate to Layaway Santa.

The program raises money, to then go and pay off some layaway accounts at local stores. They will be collecting money throughout December 23rd at different events.

“We have partnerships with the Mayhem and Coliseum that are coming up,” said Chris Floore, Layaway Santa volunteer. “We’re just encouraging people to donate. Every dollar donated, could mean another toy under the Christmas Tree.”

This is the 4th year Layaway Santa has been in action. Their goal this year is $6,000. If you want to donate and know when their next event is going to be, you can catch them on social media, here.
