Laurens County Sheriff’s Office investigating alleged assault on student by paraprofessional

Lisa Hester was arrested and charged with three counts of simple assault and one count of cruelty to children in the 2nd degree.

LAURENS COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged assault on a student by a paraprofessional on April 18.

Deputies were notified by school officials at West Laurens Middle School of the assault and an investigation was conducted.

Lisa Hester of Dublin was arrested and charged with three counts of simple assault and one count of cruelty to children in the 2nd degree.

The alleged assault happened during school hours while the student was being supervised by Hester.
