Laurens Co. Sheriff Warns of Carjacking Scams

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office hopes to stay a few steps ahead of scammers this holiday season.

A care free trip to the store could quickly turn into more than you bargained for.

Sheriff Bill Harrell says thieves are taking a new approach to catching you off guard. “Say you see a sticker on your car… do you pull it off before when you get into the car or do you drive down the road and say, ‘this thing is aggravating me to death I believe I’m going to stop and get it off.'”
