Largest Drug Bust in Houston County History

Warner Robins, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -Nearly 87 pounds of marijuana worth more than $4 million was seized during the largest drug bust in Houston County’s history.

Houston County Sheriff’s Office investigators worked with Perry Police Tuesday to raid six different locations where they found drugs and cash.

Investigators seized 86.5 pounds of processed marijuana along with $218,000 cash. The estimated street value of the marijuana plants is $3,860,000 and the processed marijuana value is estimated at $432,500.  Six vehicles, a trailer and other property were also seized during the drug raids.

Houston County Sheriff’s Response Team executed four search warrants in Houston County. Peach County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Unit executed a serach warrant in Peach County. They were assisted by Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies with a search warrant that was served in Crawford County.

Four people were arrested and charged with a slew of several drug charges.

Gilberto German Padron and Lazaro Padron Martinez are charged with conspiracy to manufacture marijuana, conspiracy trafficking marijuana and manufacturing marijuana.

Juan Miguel Padron is charged with conspiracy to manufacture marijuana and Rachael Roque is charged with trafficking in marijuana.

Houston County Sheriff Investigator Capt. Jon Holland says all of the drug suspects are related to each other.

“These plants while fully mature, I’ve been told they are capable of producing up to two pounds of marijuana, even eight to ten weeks, with a pound of this hydrated marijuana being valued at five thousand dollars per pound,” said Holland.

Sheriff’s investigators along with the Perry Police Department raided four marijuana grow houses where they found more than 386 mature marijuana plants.

The houses had been renovated with specialized equipment, such as electrical systems, along with lighting and cooling systems.

Three of the grow houses were located in Perry, at 338 Northlake Dr., 2617 Highway 341 South, and 7287 Buckeye Road.

The other grow house was located at 1188 Tribble Road in Fort Valley.

Investigators also searched other homes in Perry at 202 Spring Creek Drive and 1108 Kenwood Drive.
