L.H. Williams Elementary to begin 2-hours later this morning due to power outage
Bibb County School District said L.H. Williams power has been restored but classes will begin 2-hours later. All other schools in the Bibb County School District are to remain on regular schedules.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An urgent message sent out to L.H. Williams Elementary School families.
The message was sent to 41NBC this morning at 7:22 a.m. from the Bibb County School District.
“There was a power outage at L.H. Williams this morning, but it has been restored, however; classes will begin 2-hours later.” Said Stephanie Hartley from the Bibb County School District.
“This delay will allow time for the school building to warm up and give teachers time to get to their classrooms,” said Hartley.
Hartley said, L.H. Williams Elementary is the only school, in the school district, affected by the 2-hour delay and all other schools will begin classes on time.
Buses for L.H. Williams are running exactly 2-hours later than the usual pickup time and morning drop-off is also running exactly 2-hours later.
Hartley thanked parents for their understanding and flexibility as the Bibb County School District works to resolve this issue.
