KidStrong center coming to Perry, aims to build confidence in kids ages 1–11
Parents in Middle Georgia looking to boost their child’s confidence, character and physical health will soon have a new option in Perry.
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Parents in Middle Georgia looking to boost their child’s confidence, character and physical health will soon have a new option in Perry.
A new KidStrong center is opening soon, offering a science-based fitness program designed to empower kids through physical and cognitive development.
Every class starts with the uplifting affirmation: “I am strong. I am brave. I can do this.”
Owners Jay and Chris Thornton have witnessed remarkable transformations in their own grandchildren, noting significant improvements early on.
“We saw a noticeable difference in the grand kids’ willingness to go up and socially introduce or get involved with other kids their ages on the playground,” Jay said. “They were absolutely far more outgoing and confident in everything that they did.”
Chris added that her grandchild “was paying attention and encouraging others.”
The program is designed for kids ages 1 to 11. Each weekly 45-minute class is high-intensity and focuses on physical fitness, cognitive skills and character development. For children under four, parents or family members are encouraged to join them on the training floor.
“Moms, dads, and grandparents come onto the floor to help their child,” Jay explained.
Chris said that while each parent may have different goals, the ultimate mission is the same.
“Everyone’s worried about their kids falling behind,” she said. “And KidStrong is so focused on kids assimilating and building character and building confidence.”
The Thorntons say the program is built to “help kids win for life.”
KidStrong Perry, which is expected to open in May, is currently in its final phase of pre-sale pricing, with memberships starting at $119 per month for a six-month commitment. Families with ties to the military, first responders and teachers are eligible for registration discounts.
