Keys Named to Capital One Academic All-America Second Team
TOWSON, Md. (GCSU RELEASE) – Junior Shanteona Keys (Roswell, Ga.) of the Georgia College women’s basketball team was selected today to the Division II Capital One Academic All-America Second Team. The only Academic All-American in Bobcats women’s basketball history, Keys is being honored for both her work in the classroom and on the court in consecutive seasons after making the Third Team last season.
Keys, a mass communication major, shared the highest grade-point average (GPA) of all Division II selections with a 4.0 and had the highest of any Second Team selection. She is the lone Peach Belt Conference (PBC) representative.

In addition to Keys, the team is comprised of senior Katie Benson (Seattle Pacific University), junior Megan Fogt (Hillsdale College), senior Jen Papich (Gannon University), and graduate student Ariel Marsh (California State Polytechnic University – Pomona).
