Governor Kemp declares public health emergency
ATLANTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – In an unprecedented move, Governor Kemp placed Georgia under a public health emergency over the weekend.
During a news conference on Saturday, Kemp said the declaration will help health and emergency management officials across the state deploy resources for the reduction and treatment of COVID-19.
In a statement, Kemp said:
“Please pray for the patients, their loved ones, medical providers, and all of the people working to address this health emergency. We are in this fight together, and because of that, we will be stronger than ever before. Thank you, and may God continue to bless the State of Georgia.”
