Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful to present documentary about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s last visit to Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful is presenting the documentary Made For A King to the community.
Asha Ellen, executive director at Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful, says the documentary is about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s last visit to Macon, Georgia on March 23, 1968.
“When he was here in 1968, it was actually apart of his Poor People’s Campaign Tour,” says Ellen. “He was going on a tour throughout the South, really focusing on poor people and getting them to get involved in the Poor People’s Campaign.”
Ellen adds that this is a free documentary for the community.
“If anyone, whether it’s a college, or a church, any organization, if they want to have a private viewing at their location, they can contact me,” says Ellen.
