Keep Macon Bibb Beautiful to host recycling event for Christmas trees
According to KMBB, this is a holiday tradition that has been in Macon for more than 30 years

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Keep Macon Bibb Beautiful (KMBB) is partnering with local sponsors and hosting a recycling event for Christmas trees.
The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on January 4.
According to KMBB, this is a holiday tradition that has been in Macon for more than 30 years. Residents are invited to bring their Christmas trees to Luther Williams Field located inside of Carolyn Crayton Park. The address is 225 Willie Smokie Glover Dr.
KMBB says trees should be live, unbound, and free of decorations. The trees will be recycled into mulch, which is free to the community while supplies last.
