Junior League of Macon to host trail race
Junior League of Macon community chair Cherokee Layfield says the purpose of the trail race is to raise money for literacy work with the Washington Memorial Library, Brookdale Resource Center and Macon Periods Easier.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Junior League of Macon is hosting the annual Junior League Trail Race this weekend. Participants can choose between a 5K or 10K option.
The race will be held March 8 at 8 a.m. at First Presbyterian Day School. Packet pickup is March 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 2055 Vineville Avenue. Participants can also pick up their race packets before the race on March 8 from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
The 5K race costs $35, and the 10K costs $40. Junior League of Macon community chair Cherokee Layfield says the purpose of the race is to raise money for literacy work with the Washington Memorial Library, Brookdale Resource Center and Macon Periods Easier.
Layfield says the event will happen rain or shine, and awards will be given out after the race.
