Judge sets $1 million bond for couple accused of killing Heaven Woods
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A judge set a $1 million bond each for the couple accused of killing 5-year-old Heaven Woods.
Woods was found unresponsive inside her home on Brookwood Drive on May 20th. Her mother, 33-year-old Amanda Hendrickson, and 34-year-old Roderick Buckner are charged with murder, aggravated battery, and felony cruelty to children.
A judge denied bond for Hendrickson and Buckner in June.
According to the GBI, the medical examiner’s report shows Woods died from a blow to the stomach. She also had several old and new injuries. The GBI says Hendrickson had a history with the Department of Family and Child Services, but would not elaborate on that history.
Both are still booked in the Monroe County jail.
