Judge denies Gordon Mayor’s request to dismiss pending lawsuit against her

GORDON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Wilkinson County judge has denied Gordon Mayor Mary Ann Whipple-Lue’s request to dismiss a case accusing her of violating the state’s Open Meetings Act.

Superior Court Judge Robert Reeves has also allowed the attorney for The Concerned Citizens of Gordon to change a 2014 lawsuit against Mayor Whipple-Lue.  She can now be sued as an individual, as opposed to her position.

The group says it won’t stop until they get her out of office.
