Jones County Sheriff deputies warn residents of asphalt scam suspects
GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Jones County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents in the area of scam artists selling hazardous asphalt.
According to a Facebook post by the sheriff’s office, the two men are driving a red GMC extended cab with a tank in the bed of the truck. The men are using the company name Star Seal and one suspect used the name Patrick Riley.
The sheriff’s office says the sealant used is a creosote based chemical that will not seal and is very hazardous.
