Jones County Man Identifed in Fatal Hit-and-Run
GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Jones County sheriff’s office has released the name of the victim of the fatal hit and run in Gray.
Marquis Deshaun Lawson, 28, lived on Wheeler Road where was hit.
His body was found in a ditch Thursday morning by a passerby.
The sheriff’s still needs help finding information in this case.

A 28-year-old man is dead after he was hit by an unknown vehicle late Wednesday night.
The Jones County Sheriff’s office was on the scene just before 8 A.M. on Thursday after a man saw the body in ditch on Wheeler Road.
Officers have identified the man, but have not released the man’s name.
Captain Earl Humphries says the man could have been hit between 8 P.M. and midnight.
Humphries says they have a “vehicle on interest” and say the man was possibly hit by a utility vehicle with a bucket and boom like an electrician or cable service worker’s vehicle.
