James Clements Found Guilty in Wife’s Murder-for-Hire

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – James ‘Eddy’ Clements is found guilty in the Houston County murder-for-hire trial.

He’s convicted on all 14 counts against him in the death of his wife, Joni Clements. Clements is charged with hiring Robert and Richard Sybert to kill his wife Joni Clements. Joni Clements was shot and killed in her home in Warner Robins in February 2011.

The jury went into deliberation at around 4:15 and came out nearly two hours later to deliver the verdict.

41 NBC spoke with Joni’s sister Tomi who said she is “glad it’s over”.
