Investigators make several arrests in Bibb drug operation

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, along with several other law enforcement agencies, arrested nine people wanted in connection with trafficking drugs, guns, and money.

According to a news release, members of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, along with the sheriff’s SWAT Unit, Gang Unit, Special Response Team, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office’s SWAT Unit and the US Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force served seven search warrants at homes and businesses in Bibb County. Investigators then served an addition two search warrants.

After searching the locations, investigators found a trafficking amount of marijuana, seven firearms, and U.S. currency.

The following were charged and booked in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center:

  • Bernard Engram was charged with trafficking marijuana.
  • Michael Carlos Thompson was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
  • Jerimee Parker was charged with marijuana with intent to distribute.
  • Cerdon Johnson was charged with marijuana with intent to distribute.
  • William Marquis Story was charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
  • Kenna Darrell Middleton was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
  • Ronald Glenn Middleton was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
  • Shanna Laquita Lewis was charged with trafficking in ecstasy, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during a felony, and a probation violation.
  • Joseph Pierre Brown was charged with violation of federal probation.

Local, state, and federal investigators from Middle Georgia and Atlanta participated in this investigation, including the Oconee Drug Task Force, Houston County Drug Investigators, Monroe County Drug Unit, and the City of Perry Police Department Investigations.
