Inmate stabbed at Bibb County jail during altercation

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An inmate at the Bibb County jail is in the hospital after being stabbed Wednesday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. The stabbing happened just after 6 a.m. July 16.

According to the sheriff’s office, two inmates were involved in a physical altercation that led to one of them receiving non-life-threatening injuries.

The injured inmate was taken by ambulance to a local medical facility and is listed in stable condition.
