Ingredients found in fake Percocet are 7.5 times stronger than Morphine
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) now knows what is in the fake Percocet responsible for several overdoses in Middle Georgia. According to a new release, the pills confiscated are made up of two synthetic opioids, cyclopropyl fentanyl, and U-47700.
Cyclopropyl fentanyl is an ingredient the GBI has never seen and it is unknown how the body will react to it. U-47700 is 7.5 times stronger than Morphine.
The GBI is still working on the investigation with the Georgia Department of Public Health, Georgia Poison Center and local hospitals and agencies.
