Indiana Family Crashes Into Jackknived Tractor Trailer On I-475 In Bibb County, 1 Dead, 3 Injured

Bibb Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a fatal traffic accident on I-475 South, about 2 miles south of Zebulon Road that occurred just after 8 PM Friday.

A 2008 grey Toyota Camry occupied by two adults and two small children, from Indiana was trapped underneath the trailer of a jackknifed 2003 Freightliner Tractor Trailer, driven by 56 year old John T. Daniels from McDonough, Georgia who was not injured.

Sgt. Sean Defoe with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says, three victims are being treated. One adult is listed in serious condition and two small children are in stable condition.

The adult driver of the Camry was pronounced dead on scene by Coroner Leon Jones. The names of the occupants of the Camry can not be released until next of kin has been notified.
