Husband Pleads not guilty In The Murder For Hire Case
The arraignment hearing for two men indicted on charges of felony-murder of a Warner Robins woman were in court Wednesday. James Clements and Robert Sybert both plead not guilty in the murder-for-hire case. Last February, Joni Clements was shot inside her home in Warner Robins. Clements’ husband, James, was indicted on 14 counts. Sybert was also indicted on 14 counts. Some of the charges included aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and kidnapping with bodily injury. The Houston County District Attorney says he will pursue the death penalty for Richard Sybert, the third suspect in this case. Richard was not in court today.
“Now that the arraignment hearing has been handled the case will be scheduled for trial. We anticipate one or both of these defendants to get trialed sometime later this year “said George Hartwig, Houston County District Attorney. A trial date has not been set.
