Huntington National Bank commits $50,000 to Macon Volunteer Clinic
The clinic on Walnut Street serves nearly 300 uninsured patients a year with free medical, dental, prescription and eye care.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Huntington National Bank has committed $50,000 to the Macon Volunteer Clinic, helping the nonprofit continue providing free health care to uninsured residents across Middle Georgia.
The clinic relies on volunteer physicians, dentists, nurses and other health care professionals to provide essential services to those who cannot afford insurance. Donations from benefactors like Huntington are essential to keeping those services running.
John McCard, executive director of the Macon Volunteer Clinic, said the funding makes a direct difference for the patients the clinic serves.
“This money is critical,” he said. “We see close to 300 patients a year here. We provide free medical, free dental, free prescription care, free eye care to them. There are people that are hard working who contribute to the life here in Middle Georgia. This is definitely a place of hope and healing.”
The clinic, located at 770 Walnut St., said it is thrilled to receive the donation, describing partnerships and contributions like this as the lifeblood of its mission.
