Hundreds Share Thanksgiving Meal at Tubman Museum
Hundreds of people lined up outside of the Tubman Museum to enjoy some comfort food this afternoon.
One Macon man, George Gibson, started the tradition of feeding the homeless five years ago when he and his wife threw out extra food during the holiday season. Gibson brings together local churches, organizations, and volunteers to make sure no one goes hungry today.
“God has blessed us each this year. The people have come out and are having a good time,” says Gibson.
He says he continues the tradition every year because he feels it’s his duty to feed God’s people during the holiday season. Gibson is thankful to have the volunteers helping him carry out his mission.
