Hundreds Hunt for Eggs in Warner Robins at Easter ‘Eggstravaganza’
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – 11-year-old Kaylee Williamson raced across Ada Lee Park on Saturday in hopes to find the lucky egg.
Hundreds of real and plastic-filled eggs were hidden throughout the park’s hills. But for Williamson, the stakes were high at this year’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza; because some of the eggs had a cash prize.
The American Legion Post 594 and Union Grove Baptist Church planned the day as a way for families to come together and celebrate Easter.
“This is something you can see the mothers, the fathers, grandparents and children, all doing things together,” said Elisha Timberlake.
Williamson agrees.
“Easter is about Easter egg hunting and being with family,” she said.
