Hundreds Come Out for Car Show
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41 NBC/WMGT) – April is Child Abuse Awareness month and the Road Rebels Rod and Custom Car Club celebrated it’s 23rd annual car show Saturday.
The club has parterned with Rainbow House Children’s Resource Center in Warner Robins for over a decade in efforts to support the organization.
Rainbow House is an intervention center that provides therapeutic services for children that are victims of child abuse.
Kemberlie Sanderson, Executive Director of Rainbow House, spoke with 41 NBC about the Car Club and all the help its members provide for the organization.
“What is so wonderful is that they have taken this on as something that this club wants to do to support the community,” Sanderson said. “That says volumes to me because it’s showing me that people do care about what we do at the Rainbow House and they want to support it in their way.
Rainbow House receives thousands of dollars every year from the show.
It’s a non profit organization that receives all of it’s money from grants and donations from the community.
Sanderson stressed the importance for the community to come together and protect childhood innocence through the organization.
