Human remains found on Feagin Road in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Human remains were found in the 9400 block of Feagin Road in Macon.

According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, first a human skull was found then the rest of the body. The remains were found in an open field by a person checking the empty lot.

Bibb County deputies say the body cannot be identified as a male or female because it was so badly decomposed.

Feagin Road is the last road on Highway 247 before entering Houston County.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
