Howard Middle and High Schools closed due to power outage

Howard Middle School and Howard High School are closed today in Bibb County due to a power outage, with all other schools operating normally.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Howard Middle School and Howard High School are closed today due to a power outage affecting both campuses. This closure applies only to Howard Middle and High Schools all other schools and facilities within Bibb County are operating on a normal schedule.

Bibb County School District officials have contacted Georgia Power, who have been working through the night to restore electricity. Power is expected to be fully restored by the end of the day, allowing the schools to resume as normal on Tuesday, August 20.
